A large part of human communication, emotional life and the way of being have bodily expressions through for example posture and facial expressions. It can cause other manifestations such as high blood pressure, upset stomach, muscle pain, palpitations, poor sleep quality and general fatigue.
Individual Psychotherapy
The treatment usually lasts for 50 minutes per session each week. Sessions are tailored to each individual and methods can vary each session. These session help clients enter a process of becoming more and more self-developing with the goal of reaching a state of independence. Hence, it can be desirable to have fewer consultations over a longer period as follow-ups.
It is based primarily on what is relevant; your thoughts, feelings and bodily expressions. Together, we focus on what they do for you, how they affect you and why it is so.
People are often creatures of habit. They walk in the same footsteps and react to the same patterns each time they come up. When these behaviours are unwanted, we in therapy can work with them and work to change them which contributes to a greater sense of freedom. Instead of giving in to your impulses, you will now have the awareness and the skills to choose to respond in a spectrum of ways.
The goal is that you should be able to stand up for yourself and stand by one’s self.
